AROMATIC: Benzoin oil has a sweet, warm and vanilla-like aroma that is used as a base note. Benzoin is an ingredient rich in scents, which unfolds in multiple facets. It is a raw material whose smell is very vanilla, warm and sweet. It has a much more assertive vanilla character, very sweet. With its milky, syrupy nuances and its cocoa butter facet, benzoin brings a lot of roundness and warmth to a composition. That’s why it is mainly found in oriental, amber or gourmand accords.
LEATHERY: Leather perfume notes and accords evoke a real or imaginary scent of leather, playing on our memories and connotations. Leather is combined with saffron to evoke suede, and spices to play off against the smokiness.
